Naples real estate is experiencing a new trend. The majority of new homeowners are young, single women. In fact, there has been a 6 percent increase in female buyers between 2001 and 2005.

Most young singles are looking for secure neighborhoods, closeness to entertainment and nightlife, and affordability. Much more of the buying market is made up of recent immigrants and minorities. Some are buying condos to build equity so that one day, they can purchase a bigger home. Finally, retirees and empty-nesters are downsizing and moving to like-minded communities. They are finished with big houses and would rather live in smaller homes, nearby friends and entertainment.

You may not be a Super star, but don't give up on your Naples home just yet. Plenty of homeowners have turned over their residence for days, or even weeks, for film or TV shoots. Production companies are willing to shell out big money for the use of the ideal home.

For some, the money, and the glamour is worth it. Others become worried at the thought of having a repair person enter their home. A hundred crewmembers are too much, even for fame. Nonetheless, it could be fun to see your Naples home on the silver screen.
